Clues for a dad/mom to choose a camera type for recording their new born babies

Tons of unlimited ads selling their DC/micro DSLR/DSLR outside. As a father / mother, how can we choose the suitable camera between them? Here are some short clues for you. (If you are a professional, this is NOT for you and more passages will be coming, thx~)

First of all, all ads are FAKES, yes, FAKES!! You need not a powerful camera, powerful lens, powerful equipments, and even powerful gears. All of them are just cheating you to spend money.

If you are newbie in camera (for those who never touch before), get a prosumer DC from Nikon COOLPIX P Series, Canon Powershot G series, Panasonic LUMIX LX series, etc... Just pick ANY one and you get all done! DSLR looks good but it is bad when you use it, and very very costy for you to maintain it.

WHY Prosumer DC for newbie:
1) Light weight. When you go out with your baby, you need to take lots of things with him/her. Are you sure that you still want to take 1 more heavy bag that is just for a camera? I guess no one will do except crazy guy.
2) Fast reaction. The mood of your baby is always changing like the weather. Taking the camera out of the pocket must be far faster than taking a huge gear from the bag, right? Common sense!
3) Compact and well-integrated function. HD recording, wide angle to zoom angle, all in one. Prosumer DC is not powerful, just it can satisfy all of your needs. Simple. (Just a reminder, all Prosumer DCs starting with 24mm to 105mm should be enough. You need not a super zoom for your baby!)

Go to a shop and try it out. These prosumer DCs are good enough for you, and they'll record your new born babies well. All brands are the simply no big difference, just pick the one you like.

WHERE TO GET IT:
Easy.

For international shipping from the Internet, ADORAMA or AMAZON will do.

Things to note for maintaining the camera from malfunction:
1) Use it. Use it and use it!
2) Dehumid cabinet. Yes, you need it, before you suddenly find that your camera cannot even "start" after several months.
